I take your point about Socialist Aliance, but from what I have seen at the demonstrations they all seem to want to lead, rather than advise, the revolution. Tis a problem. But still I think a better option than any party that supports the status quo (Capitalism), which I understand the Greens still do. I would be happy to be proven wrong in this though.

What are your thoughts about what is going on in Venezuela now with their Bolivarian revolution and opposition to the US free trade agreement?

To clarify last first: what I meant was, people who think self-secrifice is a good idea are minority. It's good that such people exist, and apparently you're one of them, but political/economic systems which demand the masses act against their apprent self interest: I submit the U.S.S.R., Pol Pot's Cabodia, Cultural Revolution China, North Korea, Vietnam, Cuba, etc., etc. etc. Read about those countries and tell me anything at all looks good 'on paper.'

To the other part, it sounds like you're going great-guns with the girl in question. You seem worried that you'll seem like a stalker, but I guess I'd evaluate a move (such as calling her) based on whether you'd think it was stalking if you were the cute girl receiving the call.

If you treat her like you'd want her to treat you and it pisses her off, she's an unlikely soul-mate. But since she hung with you until the bars closed, I'm thinking she's picking apart as many neurotic aspects of the evening as you are. 'He kissed me on the cheek, was my breath bad? Or should I have initiated it if I wanted to lock lips? Or what if he thinks lip locks are gross?'

Best advice I can give as someone who's been with Frau Lobster since 1988 is to just be yourself. Frau Lobser is often alarmed by what my 'self' comes up with, but it was the same 'self' that reeled her in (and her 'self' that hooked me).

am so glad things are progressing well. i would say don't call her. you've sent the roses. she sms'd back. all very good. she knows you like her, give her a chance to wonder about you, want to speak to you. it's not playing games, it's just giving her space, which she might need, seems to need, and also her the chance to initiate contact.
